Goodbye Kitchen - Kitchen Renovation Day 1
Yesterday was an exhausting one, getting all the cabinets emptied in some sort of order and setting up a make shift kitchen on the dining room buffet with the toaster oven, toaster, microwave, coffee maker, teapot, and lots of paper plates and plastic utensils. At least we can have some breakfast without having to go out for it. This was taken just before we headed off to bed, well after midnight.
The kitchen crew arrived very early and after reviewing the plans and getting the lay of the land, they started the demolition right away. By midmorning it looked like the extra. By the time they left in late afternoon, the refrigerator had been moved to the dining room and there was nothing left.
We got out of there midday, and stopped by the small gourmet grocer in the village and purchased our lunch and dinner. We then went to Great Falls for a picnic lunch and a lovely walk along the river. The wildflowers were magnificent.
We ate our dinner on "Ike and Mamie" TV trays. It is going to be a long three to four weeks.
