Seascale after grave hunting

A couple of nights away for some West Cumberland exploration; this was the view from the beach down from our hotel after searching Whitehaven Cemetery for my 3x great grandfather John Crook. John was a mariner from Kent who was put ashore in Whitehaven after suffering an accident at sea in 1867. He died from his injuries but not until one of his sons had travelled up from Kent to be with him.  The son stayed in Whitehaven.  The grave of my 3 x Great Grandfather cannot be found but I did find the 1877 grave of the son who never went back to Kent (extra) and lots of Crook descendents.   I wonder if I have distant cousins still living here.
