The Putty Road

There are 3 routes from Sydney to the New England region of NSW. In the east there’s the boring M1, in the west there’s the longer but scenic Bylong/ Sandy Hollow route then, up the middle through the wilderness is the dreaded Putty Road.
This is not a road for timid drivers, nervous passengers or those prone to motion sickness but is heaven on earth for those who fancy themselves as the next Lewis Hamilton or Valentino Rossi, especially the latter.
There are no services for 150kms of winding, undulating road - my father used to love it, my mother hated it!
Today it was a bit humdrum due to a series of roadworks and a Ferrari or Ducati may have been more suitable than a diesel Isuzu ute!
