One of the side effects of a few days away is the extra baggage one returns with, usually around the waistline. Reader, I am that person.

So a visit to a local garden centre to meet friends over coffee and scones this afternoon, although most enjoyable, would not have helped me in the weight-loss stakes. Ach, I'll walk it off in a week or two. (Won't be any time soon looking at my diary for the next few days.) The guy in the photo looks happy enough though.
