Above And Beyond...

The Crooked Church

Just after 9am, fellow blipper SilverImages arrived at my house and not long after we were sat at the local greasy spoon cafe for a full English breakfast before heading off for some photography.

We share a love of old buildings, so started off with a visit to nearby Garway village (Herefordshire, UK) and the Knights Templar church of St Michael where we met an interesting couple and were chatting for ages before enjoying the medieval architecture of this unique church.

Afterwards we drove to the village of Cwmyoy (Monmouthshire, South Wales) to look at St Martin's Church (12th century) known as the most crooked church in Britain!  Amazing inside as it looks outside. The blipfoto shows the crookedness of the church outside. With the weather raining it fitted a black and white  photograph.

We enjoyed a coffee at The Skirrid Inn (The oldest Inn in Wales) nearby, before heading back to my place. A pleasant day out in excellent company.
