The thief

Looking out of the lounge window I noticed the blackbirds were making a bit of a commotion.
Then spotted the grey squirrel.
They have unfortunately built their nest in the bush right next to the beech tree.
As you can see from the photos they didn’t have much luck chasing the squirrel away and it was soon into the bush, presumably feasting on the eggs.
I feel sorry for the blackbirds. I hope they decide to build a nest elsewhere although it will be difficult to stop the squirrel as they can climb anywhere.

Mainly dull day but no rain ( yet) and maybe a touch warmer!
