A Periwinkle Flower

I believe this to be a Greater Periwinkle - the flowers are very large and the leaves have a hairy edge!!

I spotted it on my walk this morning - glowing nicely in the sunshine.

In other news, I have started my annual battle with the garden wild plants growing in unwanted places weeds. The bindweed is already well established :-(

I take no pleasure from working in the garden - to me it is just another form of housework…only more physically demanding. Just something that has to be done sometimes.

The grass is in need of another cut already - but sadly the brown bin (garden waste) is now full of weeds…
