An ordinary life....

By Damnonii

All good things must come to an end...

Sadly.

What a fabulous time we've had.  I am hoarse from laughing so much.  The sign on the wall said Party like it's 1999.  We did.

It's a risk to take all the important people in your life and put them all together for a weekend but LeeAnne took that risk and boy it paid off.  Turns out she chooses great pals!  :-))  It's also testament to how amazing she is that everyone adores her so much.  She spent her birthday weekend ensuring WE all had a great time.  Selfless she is!

She thought of everything. Stuff to amuse the kids - craft activities, bouncy castle, Easter egg hunt, face painting to name a few.  Also plenty to amuse the adults and keep up fed and watered!  All in the most fabulous setting of Netherbyres House.

I had planned to be up and ready by 9am.  Was awake at 5am but felt it was too early to start making a noise getting showered (turns out certain people were just getting to bed at 5am! Hahahaha) reset the alarm but we both slept through it and I woke just before 10am.  The coffee van had arrived and breakfast was being served so D went and grabbed us some bacon rolls and coffee and freshly made Danish pastries.

Quickly got showered and packed.  Sat in the sun chatting for a little while watching as people packed their cars and said farewells, all of us slightly quieter and a bit more subdued than the previous few hours.  The way you are when you've been looking forward to something for so long and now it's over.

Dr T and Brian headed off, then Withers and Po, then we said our goodbyes.  Easy journey and home by 3pm.  I was snoozing in my chair by 3.15pm!  LOL!

Have been reliving the good times as everyone starts uploading their photos to social media.

Thank you again LeeAnne for an epic weekend!  What an absolute scream. And thank you to Mike and Sarah for the best margaritas and negronis!  They're good at this!  :-)))
