The walk today was mainly beside woodland where I was interested in recording the sounds of birds and the numbers of wild flowers.   Thanks to the bird app it was possible to identify and sometimes see the birds before the trees acquire leaves.  I was surprised to hear 22 different species, of which apart from robins, blackbirds and chiffchaffs the most common were probably the wrens and nuthatches.   While there were fewer birds away from the woodland there were yellowhammers in the hedges around the fields.  The photo is a record for me to notice the change in colour of the fields as the newly planted crops grow.  Last year one was blue with  phacelia flowers.  As I am no good at taking photos of birds the collage shows some of the flowers; primrose, barren strawberry, dandelion, red deadnettle, dog violet, periwinkle and chickweed.
