A Spring Scent

Spring is in the air! The great crested flycatchers are busy creating a nest while the blueberry bushes and apple, crab apple, and plum trees burst with blossoms. Our pollinators seem slightly absent this year, which seems to be following the alarming global trends. One of the apples has been overrun by a walnut outside the orchard- walnuts and their pesky natural herbicides! We managed to burn the prairie this year, so the grasses, cup plants, lupine, and flowers should have a fresh place to start again!

Spring is marvelous!
