Museum of London

I poked my phone through a hole in the hoarding round the old Smithfield General Market buildings which are in the process of being transformed into the new Museum of London.  What a lot of scaffolding!

The first extra shows what the interior of the Market looked like after it had not been used for many years but before the work started.  The second extra shows the outside of the building built in 1883 as it appears today (the larger building on the right). And the third extra is the architect's impression of the new Museum.  You won't be surprised to know that the work is expected to take 3 years.
