Mono Monday - Fading away...

This is my mother who passed away in February, in Finland.
I decide to choose a photo of her for the MM theme "Woman"; the challenge host jensphotos wrote that Anneli Jätteenmäki was sworn in as prime minister of Finland this date, 20 years ago.

According to the  Encyclopaedia Britannica, Finland thereby became the second country (after New Zealand) to install a woman as head of both state and government. Somebody pointed out that Isabel Peron was first, but actually, Isabel P was "only" a president.

Not many people remember Anneli J, maybe because she left after a short period due to a scandal ("Iraq papers"). At this time Finland had a woman as a president,Tarja Halonen. She served 12 years as a president, well done!
