Chequers Road

On our walk this morning we came up Chequers Road; this is looking back down. At the bottom is a building which used to be the only pub in the village (The Chequers) and beyond where you can't see, is a field then a copse of trees with the remains of Gresham Castle. It is privately owned and can't be seen. But what is interesting is this is where the Paston family lived for a while. They would have walked up this road, straight to the church.

Google the Pastons or the Paston Letters for more info. If history is your thing, it is all around here.

Work has been long and headache inducing. Yoga was welcome, but my headache is back now, so time to stop on my screen.
