Bamburgh Castle

We awoke to a lovely morning – a complete contrast to yesterday.  Late morning and we three headed down the A1 to Bamburgh, where we met up with TT’s brother and partner, their mum, and his brothers in laws.  We had a lovely catch up over a really lovely lunch.  They are holidaying in Northumberland.  We all went our separate ways after lunch, and we headed to the beach for a walk – but TT then realised that we were limited in our walk by the time left on our parking ticket.  We had a nice walk in the sunshine, but it did feel a bit rushed and cut short.  We then headed home and made good time up the road.

BB went off to meet friends to kick a football around, messaging me later to say he was at a friend’s house.  When he appeared back, one of his friends, who has just passed his driving test, gave him a lift home.  The same friend had taken them to MacDonald’s for tea.  My heart sank at that, five young lads in a car with a brand new driver.  Eeeek!  He also declared he needed to apply for his provisional driving licence.

Meanwhile TT and I chilled out.  I went for a walk in the evening sunshine and then finished my book.  Having had a lovely lunch, we didn’t feel we were in need of anything substantial for tea, so grazed on some snacks.  Neither of us could be bothered looking for something to watch on TV.

Here are the boys walking back to Bamburgh Castle – a rare appearance by BB.
