Jurassic Fossil

I love visiting the Jurassic Coast in Dorset. One of my visits took me to Kimmeridge Bay, consisting mainly of rocky shale, with large limestone ledges.  It is of great geological interest and the rocks on the beach contain a variety of interesting fossils. While fossil hunting with hammers is prohibited, it is easy to pick up a lump of shale and find small fossils embedded in it.  This is one of my finds, less than 1cm in size, so hopefully more than suitable for MaryElizaR's Tiny Tuesday Challenge, and at around 153million years old should fit the brief of "Way Back"!

The backdrop is a view across the bay from a visit last year.
