Bluebell Companion

It's still a bit early for the bluebells this year, but I just had to have a trip out to Winkworth Arboretum for a check on progress and a walk round.

As expected, the bluebells still have a week or so to reach their best, but there were clumps popping up all over the place, including areas I don't recall seeing them in before.  This specimen was in the woodland next to the wetlands area and definitely a new one on me. Even better, it had a companion, a leaf beetle (probably an alder leaf beetle). The area had these in abundance, though mainly on leaves, as per their name.
