Look who’s waiting to be collected!

In the Cook Shop, in our local shopping area.HRH himself! Hope he makes it to London in time for his Coronation. ;-))
Made me laugh!
A dreary cold morning, which turned into a blustery sunny afternoon by 3.30pm.
I went to Pilates this afternoon as usual.
For those of you thinking about our son, his eyesight in his left eye has not got any worse, but neither is it any better. But he has been told that will be the case from now on.
I won’t go into details, except to say I am so proud of the way he is handling it.
In the meantime he has to learn to adjust to the sight he has, given his right eye is normal.
Apparently the brain will retrain itself but it that can take quite some time due to the loss in his left one. .
He’s back to hospital again in 4 weeks time.
And apparently on Sunday this week the whole nation is going to be alarmed! Be interesting as we will be in a restaurant at the time.

“On Sunday 23 April 2023 at 3pm, there will be a national test of the UK Emergency Alerts service.
Emergency Alerts is a UK government service that will warn you if there’s a danger to life nearby.

In an emergency, your mobile phone or tablet will receive an alert with advice about how to stay safe.”

So now you know!
Made me think of that lovely phrase from Shakespeare’s Henry V, as it’s also St George’s Day on Sunday.
“Cry God for Harry and St. George!”
A rallying cry for his troops, a bit like we will all receive a warning sound.
