Coot chick

I went to my weights class at the gym followed by my watercolour group at Th Qube this morning.

This afternoon I went to the castle to see if there were any chicks around and one of the two coot nests had hatched three. They were very tiny and two stayed mostly under mum's feathers while this little one ventured onto the edge of the nest where it was given most of the food brought by dad. (I am assuming here as I can't tell the difference from looking at them).
