Dance of the brimstones

It was a beautiful sunny day so F and I went to Whixall Moss NNR for a walk around.  There were lots of small birds singing but they were very difficult to spot.  The paths were still very flooded and muddy and tricky to navigate in some places.

There were lots of damselflies around as well as butterflies.  We saw small tortoishell and orange-tips plus plenty of brimstones. My blip is a pair of brimstones (the male is the brighter yellow colour) flying round each other in a lovely dance.
