‘Spotted in an Antique Shop’

It's a Kodak Six-20 Brownie Junior, first introduced in 1934. It cost 8/6 (42.5p in new money)!

The Brownie camera was first introduced around 1900 and helped popularise the taking of ‘snapshots’!

Originally made of cardboard, it was pretty basic by today's standards. It has come in different versions over the years. 

When I was growing up in the 1950s, the must-have model was the ‘Brownie 127’, but the Brownie name survived for over 80 years, only being finally discontinued in 1986!
