Derelict seat and kiln

This morning I made a quick dash to the beginning bit of Sydney Park to take a photo of this derelict scene. The brick structure is one of three kilns which not that long ago was in good condition and  used for the occasional event like art and music shows. Now it is seriously cracking. It's been boarded up and fenced off and I had to take the photo through the rails. It seems the kiln could not withstand the tunnelling beneath for the WestConnex.

Note also the broken seat and the word Rune in red which caught my eye. I believe that Rune is a computer game. 

Then off to the theatre to see Fences, by American playwright Austin Wilson.
