Kidnapped, The Lyceum

We went to the Lyceum to see Isobel McArthur's interpretation of Robert Louis Stevenson's 'Kidnapped'.  This was the follow up play to her highly successful 'Pride and Predjudice Sort of' and followed the same approach of peppering a late 19th century written story with contemporary jokes and pop songs.  It's enjoyable although leans more towards panto and doesn't work quite as well as the Jane Austen play which was clever and hilarious.
