Hawes PW#5

A rainy day. Don't tell anyone but Mr P decided to miss out the first few km of day 5 of the walk because it was bucketing down and those few km went over the top of Pen y Ghent.  His reasoning was that as we live not that far away, he could nip back and do Pen y Ghent, all 700m of it, on a sunny day.  I spent the day in Hawes . The Wensleydale Cheese experience and the Dales Countryside Museum kept me dry.   This is Gayle Beck waterfall in the centre of the town. I didn't swim here but did manage a swim at Cotter Force nearby.  Photo in extras taken by Mr P.
Mr P actually walked from Horton in Ribblesdale to Hardraw near Hawes, 25km.
