Palmse

A day to visit places we have never visited before. Our main target was Palmse manor, perhaps the best renovated manor in Estonia.

On the way there, we dropped by to see Jäneda manor, which we have visited before almost 15 years ago. The visit was made memorable by a comment Lauri (then five years old) made in the restaurant. From this visit the most memorable thing was probably the toads by the pond. One of them in the extra #1, the more X rated ones not being published here! The manor itself in the extra #2.

Our next stop was for having lunch in the famous tavern in Viitna. In the extra #3 young tourists in the swing on the yard there.

In Palmse we admired the manor from the outside and had a walk around in the park. The manor from the front in the main blip, details in the extra #4 and other buildings in the extra #5.

Palmse is located on the edge of Lahemaa National Park and the information centre of the park is located in Palmse. We looked at the exhibition there before heading to the sea across the park. Views from the tip of Juminda peninsula and a beach in Kolga-Aabla in the extra #6.
