3041. Sheep!

These sheep are scattered throughout Scotland and they’re being displayed to promote the Royal Highland Show which is going to host the world sheep shearing championship for the first time since 2019 apparently.  This one was inside the Tourist Information Office on the High Street.  There is another one at the railway station so I must photograph that too!  I was chatting with the lady who works there and she was telling me about the new museum which is being housed in the newly renovated City Hall and will eventually accommodate the Stone of Destiny.  It’s opening next year some time and it will be well worth seeing.  I’m so pleased they saved the hall as it was under threat of demolition a few years ago and it would have been awful to have lost such an historic building.

Had a busy morning, met a friend for coffee (and obligatory cake) then met hubby for lunch in the pub.  Back home now relaxing!
