Bearsted Green, not just November

A second dry day for a change, not very warm. Walking this morning where I spotted this rather poignant image down by the Green.

A new cafe has opened on the Green, as we passed by we decided to give it a go. Very nicely done. The coffee was excellent although small and very expensive at £3.50. Good as it was, it wasn’t that good.

Susan worked in the garden this afternoon while I planted the last of the potatoes on the allotment and also set out 21 strawberry plants. Late I know, what can you do?

A representative from the Bearsted and Thurnham Tennis club gave a presentation to the Bearsted and Thurnham Society this evening about their proposals for new courts on the donated land.

The representative was very clear that the committee were committed to talking to as many people and organisations as possible as they developed their plans. Wonderful. It’s how it should have been done two years ago.
