Life through the lens...

Susan

Today we said our goodbyes to our walking club friend.
It was on the 7th March when we all met up for lunch. Although Sue looked good, and was happy and cheerful she must have known she hadn’t much time left. She was 74.
Along with her family over 200 people packed the church.
It was a service of Thanksgiving to celebrate her life. One which was lived to the full.
After being diagnosed with breast cancer at the age of 42 she personally raised over £40,000 for cancer research and helped raise over1million.

This is a few verses from a poem written by a friend:

Susan, a wonderful Mother, Grandmother, sister and friend
Always kind and loving until the end
She fought her illness all the way
And lived life to the full every single day

In times if sorrow or joy she was there
Whether it was a secret or a funny story to share
But I know her spirit will always be around
And her joy and love will forever abound

So if you’re ever feeling sad and blue
Think of Susan’s positivity and it will pull you through
Let’s just remember the wonderful life she had
And for that we forever should be glad.

R.I.P. Susan.
