Sedges have edges

Is it going to qualify for wildflower week? Somehow I doubt it, because it’s a grass.
And upon investigation from the woodland trust website it seems the best way to tell the difference is by way of an old saying - 
Sedges have edges, rushes are round, grasses are hollow - so what have you found?

Anyhow, best I can tell, this is a meadow foxtail - Alopecurus pratensis.
Try saying that after a glass of wine :-)
