First of the season

I saw these on my walk yesterday, but managed to find a suitable entry for Mono Monday in the end.
So today I went the same route with the dogs to start with and took the picture again.
I’m fairly certain they are a Montana variety of clematis possibly ‘Reuben’s’ - but not completely sure.
Anyway, they are an early variety and cascading over the fence of the property behind.

A quiet day today. Catch up for an hour in the office. A zoom meeting at eleven for an hour and then after an early lunch out to G&M for dog food.

Just there and back within 30 minutes but for once got enough to last for  a couple of weeks.
