Union River

It was the night our grade's spring concert, and since it wasn't really worth it to drive all the way home and back I just stayed at school and got some dinner in town. I ate in the car down by this spot along the Union River, which I had never been to before. Not terribly scenic, but still interesting. Lots of cormorants, several osprey, and at one point an eagle swooped down and tried to steal a fish from somebody.

The kids did a great job at the concert and everyone seemed happy to be there. The art teacher had some of their work up and that was nice to see as well. It was a long day, but a pretty good one. Several things went better than expected, and that doesn't always happen.
