The couple…..

A pair of Paradise Shelducks made themselves at home in the Taylor River Reserve. These Shelducks are endemic to New Zealand and make their present felt by their noisy calls when flying about. Consequently Maisie sees them as a challenge and races through the river and along the banks in the vain hope of hunting them down. They tease her by flying noisily overhead. Luckily Maisie’s efforts are shortlived and she is soon back to me ( having been yelled at) slowing to a more sedate pace.
