Clearing Mist…..

Maisie and I walked at 5.45am, an hour earlier than usual.. The sky was as black as the inside of a cow…. ( as the Kiwi saying goes….. ) thus I wore a head light for most of the time. We saw one other dog and its owner. A fine mist was lifting on the river near the end of our walk. A sunny autumn day followed. Later this morning I went to Pastel Painting at the Art Centre. It was great to catch up with good friends. After lunch and completing various chores in town I visited friend Dawn to pick up a book called “Remember” about memory . We had a cup of tea and I headed home to find I had forgotten to collect my book….. That was food for thought. I raked lawns in a hurry and mowed the lawns finishing not long before sunset.
