Strathaven Castle

There has been a castle here since the 13th century, but all that remains today are two walls.  It looks quite impressive from one side, but is a ruin from the other.  Built for the Hamilton family.

It has been a cold and rather damp day today.  Had Keep Fit in the morning, and in our afternoon wanderings we passed Strathaven Castle,.


A few telephone calls necessary today, but had a lovely one to us from our friend in Dunfermline, and we talked for an hour.
