Sweet Violet ( Viola odorata )

This morning I managed to get the wood preservative onto all the outside faces of the verandah at the Lodge, which was considerably more than I had expected.  Clickychick finished the first coat on all the windows and completed the second coat on one window.  I am not allowed to paint window frames, something to do with my past history as a decorator.

In the afternoon my usual visit to Kanyl and looking for blips in his garden. for blips.  Hiding away under a large Rhododendron I spotted some Violets.  They naturalise well in shady woodland.  The flowers edible.
