Tragic

The result of ash dieback disease, hundreds of trees alongside the River Esk have been felled and they were felling more today. Some are fairly young and will no doubt be replaced but loads were really big, mature trees. Can’t replace those.
We were out for a walk with friends, walking the Pencaitland Railway Walkway then across the Esk and up to Musselburgh. A pretty good route and a few very pleasant pints in the Stag afterwards. Just a pity about those trees.
