Base camp

Oh, such a brief day off. Now an intense few days, camping on the flanks of Snowdon with 30-odd year 7s, climbing Snowdon, then camping again.

The forecast was looking horrid, so we decided not to wild camp, and instead opted for a small campsite at the base of the Watkin path. This suited me fine - shitting in a hole when 30 kids are running about doesn't sound like my idea of relaxing. Toilets are great.

The day was spent in preparation, and I taught them all how to put up their tents. by 3 we were setting up camp, and by 6 there were 16 trangias with pasta simmering.

A short walk around the lake before bed.
