Footpath Garden

Planter boxes have appeared on the grass verge out the front of our apartment complex. The first was a couple of months ago; now there’s five. An olive tree, a lemon tree, lettuces, kale, carrots, silver beet and flowers. A yellow post-it note has also appeared, clipped to the wire. “What a lovely garden!” and not, as I hoped, “Please help yourself”. The cos was delicious.
