A Roman Day and a Swim PW#11

Today Mr P walked from Cawfields on Hadrian's Wall to Bellingham, 32km.  I spent most of the day doing the Chester's Roman Trail but as I walked over Chollerford Bridge I spotted two girls with tow floats swimming up the River North Tyne .   Aha- a safe swim spot.  This is the view as I too swam up the river. It was fantastically calm. View from the changing spot in extras.  Then off to the Chesters Roman Fort tea room for hot soup and tea and a thorough explore of the site. Roman ruins also in extras.
