WHAT A LETDOWN!

Hello Lovely Blippers,

We got all excited today when we heard Mr. & Mrs. HCB say that they were going off to a party - in fact, we even saw the wine bag that said “Cheers” and thought we might jump in the car and go with them.  We did think it was a bit strange that they were ready to go before 10 o’clock, but nevertheless, we all piled in.

You can see that it’s a beautiful sunny day, which is a shame because Mr. HCB could have gone to cricket, but a party must be better than watching a boring cricket match all day!

Well, we waited and waited until at last the HCBs came out but they weren’t dressed up for a party, which we thought was rather silly, and then we heard them say that they were off to a local surgery to have their booster Covid vaccination!  Some party and certainly not the sort of party we want to go to!  

We decided to go and play in the garden while the HCBs were gone, but were a bit upset because we couldn’t find Hoggy - we looked all over for him, but he was nowhere to be found, which was a bit worrying.  However, when the HCBs got back, Mr. HCB said that he had found Hoggy in the back of the car - we think he was hoping to go to an actual party, but he was disappointed that it was only a vaccination party and he told us there were lots of people there, but no food or drink to be seen. 

To bring you up to date with the naming of the new member of our gang, it was a close run race, but Bubbles won by one point - so Bubbles the Bear it is - you can see him sitting up on the top of the seat with Hoggy, Laura, Godfrey the Goat and Leyburn.  We think he will be very happy with us and we are all looking forward to lots of adventures, and we know that they will make Admirer smile and perhaps even giggle.

We hope you all have a good week and we are looking forward to the Cornation sorry, Coronation, next Saturday - we have decided not to go to London, but will watch it with the HCBs on the television.  We’ve got lots of flags ready to wave and we hope there will be something to eat and drink and there are sure to be some photographs taken.
