Hill of Tarvit Volunteering Day

Another day at Hill of Tarvit. As well as being a guide I spent quite some time locating all of the prints and painting described and photographed in the guidance notes given to each volunteer.

There is much that has changed regarding each print and painting following some deep research.

It will take some time to be completely familiar with the changes. However I have identified them all and confirmed their location.

The flow of visitors was steady throughout the day. Visitors had come from the America and from Ukraine as well as various parts of Scotland and England.

The main entry shows the staircase from the first floor level.
The vestibule next to the lower landing leads onto the Billiards Room.

Visitors are invited to have a game and quite a number are very keen to have a go.

The extra shows an empty bottle of champagne as part of a scene portraying an evening in the drawing room.

The bottle is not an item of the original collection. Rather it is a prop supplied by Pat.

The champagne was drunk by Pat and I many years ago. It was a rather fine vintage.
