Botanical Garden Exploration

The Queen Mother’s Memorial Garden is a discovery that I made today whilst walking around the garden. I had never been to this part before, and I discovered the way in after carefully studying the map.

The garden covers her life, or most of the 21st century and there are highlights carved in stone which forms vertical panels and also thresholds to various parts of the garden. Some are easy to read and some are not.

Within the garden is a shelter and my photos feature this beautifully crafted structure.

The interior is finished in ceramics and sea shells with cones and branches on the coffered ceiling.
