May Day Is Coming...

... and birches have begun to open their leaves (in Main).

Cold, very cold. Temperature +6 at noon, but quite hard southwest wind made it feel like +2.

However, I decided to at least pop out. Did a short ride, get some cold, went to the pharmacy and planned to go home after that. Although I was ready to leave from there in ten minutes, I was warmed already. So I took a quite long detour home. Almost exactly for dinner.

Tomorrow is a May Day Eve, and we wanted to try to make fritters, haven't made before. The recipe was a bit different from the usual one, the dough wasn't the one of the buns, there wasn't milk nor yeast, but baking powder, curd and lemon in it.

It's always a bit exciting to fry something in oil. But we did it well (Extra).
