Dunscliffe Wood, Shaftesbury

The day began with coffee in Sherborne, as my MiL had brought round a present for me .
We went back to do some shopping later then after lunch, I planted my cowslips.

When P had gone to work, I decided to walk in the bluebell woods near Shaftesbury as it was such a warm afternoon.
There is nothing more wonderful than English Bluebell woods . If only I could convey the scent of them too !
As usual, there were Lady Smock flowers there and lots of cowslips in the lower meadow.

I heard some knocking on one of the trees there but I couldn’t see a woodpecker.
An evening of crochet and an episode of ‘ Grace ‘ followed.
