Fake Views

The weather today was really quite unblippable.  It was extremely dull with a featureless sky and periods of rain.

Nevertheless, during a dry interlude, I drove through to Burntisland where I snapped this container ship leaving the Forth.  The island of Inchkeith is to the left.  I knew that it would need spicing up so when I realised there were flowering gorse bushes behind me I captured a number of ICM shots to use as overlays.  Yes, it was that dull that I was able to get a slow enough shutterspeed without using an ND filter.

One of those ICMs, blurred further on the computer, provided the fake evening clouds and light when overlaid in 'grain merge' mode (GIMP).
