Swirling clouds

Nothing planned - avoiding the busy holiday crowds, but after sorting the planning application (for a porch), washing and polishing the car, I needed a Blip, so walked down to the edge of the Lake - the landing stages are usually busy most weekends, but today seemed quieter than usual. I wonder if the fact we have three bank holidays this month means the crowds are spreading themselves out, or the price of fuel is reducing the number of day trippers?

Still - the little headland by Friars Crag and the swirling clouds over Catbells & Maiden Moor looked lovely.

I also got a lovely surprise in the post - a judges selectors plate for the "scapes" section of the Clay Cross Exhibition.
