Waxflower

No change in the weather. There were clouds, wind, some rain, same temperature.

Today I had  responsibilities to deal with as an employer, and had a meeting considering that for a couple of hours. I also had paperworks relatings sevaral different affairs. All this meaning much work of thought, not the lightest of these jobs. Anyway, the weather was good for this, and a quite fresh flower of the plant, after a long break of flowering, welcome to make an atmosphere soft and cozy.

Waxflower (Hoya carnosa) is evergreen perennial creeper or vine or rarely, shrub. This one in our kitchen is a creeper. It originates from Asia, Islands near India and Australia. In Finland it can be grown only as a house plant. Star-shaped flower of the plant has thick, waxy petals. In Finnish we call it 'a porcelain flower'.

We have had this beauty for about three decades, and soil in its pot has been changed just once or never. There's one thing I guess no one likes in the plant, in flowering time it smells like a cat's pee, and only during nights.
