Sunny, cloudy, windy, rainy, sunny - repeat

I was down in town today for an ultra-sound examination (apparently I'm well, which is good). Despite it being May we were getting real April weather. The sun shone and it was warm, then suddenly it went dark, a cold wind came out of nowhere and rain fell. After a few minutes the precipitation ended and the sun burst forth again. Anyway, it made for some drama in a landscape (seascape?) picture. This one is taken from the edge of the hospital car park, looking down the South Sound. Open water now, apart from one big stretch of ice, and a few small floes drifting around.
Back home I cleared the last of the snow from the deck, did some sorting and tidying in the giant shed we call the barn, and checked that the gas, cooking rings, and fridge in the camper were all working after their winter rest - they were.
Inbetween these various activities I was providing some waiter service to Jan who has been, and is, feeling shaky with an infection in her body. She finds "rest" troublesome so the fact that she sat on the sofa and allowed me to fetch and carry showed that she really wasn't well. While I was at the hospital she was at the doctors and now has antibiotics so hopefully she'll soon be feeling better.
