Bright lights, cold night

On a cold night in downtown Canberra we walked to our closest restaurant. It’s usually very busy, but not tonight. The food, and a glass of warming shiraz, was excellent.

A sign on the door advertises home delivery service. We saw the delivery guys bicycling away, on a dark, cold and rainy night. So dangerous and so sad that some people must do it to survive. In many cases, to help pay the huge student fees charged by the nearby university.
