Confused weather in Tasman Bay

It was wet and grey today without it really raining properly then this afternoon, on the drive back from town, I just had to stop for this scene.  The harbour was pink and absolutely flat calm (extra) but the clouds looking west over Fifeshire Rock, (formerly Arrow Rock but known as Urenui (which translates to 'big penis' in Maori), were parting just enough to let some sunlight through which painted the whole scene a beautiful pink.  I flipped this pic off to TVNZ weather and was chuffed to bits to have it shown on tonight's weather report (though I have a sneaking suspicion we may have been one of a very small number of places to see the sun today!)

Had another appointment with the optometrist this afternoon - a 'field vision test' to check (surprise surprise!) my field of vision/peripheral vision.  There are a couple of small areas that appear not to have full vision but nothing that Phil thinks explains the developing blurriness in my right eye.  Back to see him again tomorrow for a full review of where to next.  In the meantime I just have to put up with blurred right eye vision - there's no point in getting new glasses until we understand fully what's happening.
