Apple blossom

If there is one apple for every blossom we should have a good crop this year.

Baker’s Dozen discussion group this morning. Seven of us.
Our topic this week was WATER.
The poor state of our rivers and lakes with thousands of legal sewage discharges every month. The ever increasing problem of water shortage both here and across the world. I have been reading lately about the  problems in south western U.S.A. with a twenty year drought leading to the severe depletion of the Colorado river which is relied on by seven states. The competing demands of agriculture and population expansion in the sunshine states combined with the effects of climate change are likely to cause a major crisis.
We also discussed ways in which we can reduce the amount of water we use.
